Transition to Work is a summer program geared to provide instruction and experience to transitional aged students (ages 14-19). Students attend a five week session that will provide them with the opportunity to develop skills and discover opportunities for meaningful community employment. The TTW program offers two (2) session tiers:
Individuals will be introduced to five (5) different vocational experiences and five (5) different key skill areas. Individuals will have to opportunity to take part in COTA travel training, develop a Unique Learning System® TRANSITION PASSPORT, and a variety of presentations from guest speakers.
Individuals will build upon the key skills covered in Tier 1. Individuals participating in Tier 2 will participate in community work experiences, COTA travel training, and Independent Living Skills. A parent component is also included as part of Tier 2.
